Whales do not run to a timetable, but the boats do. These 3 whale watching workshops are priced and timed so you can pick one in a couple of minutes and go and pack a coat.
Spend about four hours aboard the MV Amaroo, a fast, stable catamaran with three viewing decks, searching Hervey Bay for humpback whales. Choose a morning or afternoon cruise, enjoy tea and biscuits, and listen to local commentary on whales, K’gari, and Fraser Coast history.

Meet Baja Sur Tours at 7:15 am for a three-hour private-boat outing in La Paz’s protected whale shark waters. You’ll receive a shorty wetsuit, snorkel gear, marine science guidance, GoPro documentation, water, soda, and local beer. The group is limited to eight people.

Meet Brittany and the Paddle On! Maui team at Makena Landing for a private two-hour SUP lesson and whale search along the Wailea-Makena coast. Beginners and mixed-skill groups are welcome, and the pace is adjusted to your group. Expect Hawaiian history, open-water paddling, and possible close whale sightings.
